of Pharmaceutical Technology Prof. dr hab. Tomasz Osmałek tel.: (61) 641-84-41 |
Head of Chair and Departament in the years: 2007-2020:
Prof. dr hab. Janina Julek, full Prof.
tel.: (61) 641-84-49
After completing pharmaceutical studies at the Poznan University of Medical Sciences (PUMS), Prof. Janina Lulek worked as an academic teacher in the Department of Inorganic and Analytical Chemistry of PUMS for many years. At this time, her research was closely related to analytical and ecotoxicological aspects of persistent organic pollutants (PAHs, PCBs). She obtained PhD in pharmaceutical sciences in 1985 and completed her habilitation in 1999. In 2007 she received the title of full professor. From 2007 to 2021, as the head of the Department of Pharmaceutical Technology (PUMS), she changed the scope of her scientific interest. In recent years, her scientific activities are focused mainly on the advanced drug delivery systems (silica carriers and electro-spun biodegradable polymeric materials), preformulation and formulation (micro and nanoparticles, minitablets) and in-vitrodissolution/drug release studies, as well as thermal waters and peloids in skin care and cosmetics. She is the author of many peer-reviewed papers and the leader of several national and international scientific projects and numerous projects conducted with the pharmaceutical industry. For twenty years she has been a coordinator of PUMS – UL (Lorraine University, Nancy) cooperation. On her initiative, the PUMS’ Student Chapter of International Society for Pharmaceutical Engineering was established in 2010. The great challenge for her carrier was a coordination of European Commission project ORBIS (www.orbisproject.eu, H2020-MSCA-RISE-2017). Prof. Lulek was the supervisor or co-supervisor of 10 awarded doctoral dissertations. Two of her PhD students have defended their doctoral theses based on co-tutelle agreement (PUMS – UL) and two another come from pharmaceutical companies. Prof. Lulek is keen lover of mountains and family bicycle trips.
